Greetings from Pastor Carl

I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong—that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith. Romans 1:11-12 

Paul’s hope for his relationship with the Roman church is similar to the hope I have for our future partnership in the Gospel.  As I prepare to be your Senior Pastor, I look forward to a fruitful ministry of preaching, teaching and leading Discover Church.  I look forward to equipping you, as a church and as individuals, to live out your faith in daily life. More importantly, I look forward to joining with you in mutual ministry. I’m excited for what our future will bring.  In serving our neighbors in the Twin Cities, and partnering with others to reach around the world in mission, including the mission we encounter as we step out our front door. Most importantly, that we will be encouraged and supported by each other’s faith, strengthened by the good news of God’s mercy in Jesus, enlivened by the Spirit working among us, and equipped by that same Holy Spirit to connect people to loving grace of God in Jesus. 

How should we pray?  That God would reveal his vision for our Church.  Pray that we would discover (yes, I use that term on purpose)  God’s mission for us, and that we would have the courage to follow in the power of the Holy Spirit.
